jersey exhibitions
Harbour Gallery, St Aubin,
Jersey

Final day - see page 8 of printed programme
The Harbour Gallery from Jersey changed its venue for 8 weeks and from mid May to early July came to Bromham Mill Gallery in Bedfordshire, which is as far away from the sea that's possible to be.
The exhibition certainly had a nautical feel though not only with prints and photos of seascapes but also framed stitched textiles and ceramic sculptures of fish, birds and beach huts mounted on found driftwood. Other items included floral felted jewellery, soft luscious silky scarves and bags, delightful soft toys as well as some vibrant figurative appliqué hangings.
Many of the artists exhibit and sell their work in London and Bromham Mill Gallery were delighted to be able to have work of this calibre on show. If you missed the exhibition visit The Harbour Gallery Jersey site or even better go to Jersey where you'll find there's a warm welcome and see it all for yourself.
During the exhibiting period about 900 visitors came and viewed the show proving it to be a very popular one so far this year.
